Storm Surge Viewer Description:
Predicting the potential for storm surges along any given shoreline is vital for the safety of coastal communities; however, storm surge prediction and modeling have proven to be extremely difficult because of the numerous factors that can contribute to the overall rise in water level.
The storm surge viewer is a mobile application that draws its data from a large scale national storm surge database compiled by the Program for the Study of Developed Shorelines (PSDS). This database was produced by combining data from FEMA, NOAA, USGS and other local, state, and federal agencies.
The storm surge mobile application takes all the functionality of Storm Surge website and puts it in your pocket for on-the-go access.
